This report includes all patients who have completed a visit within the selected date range. This report will display the patient visit average, an average number of visits per case, and an average of payments collected per visit.
To Run the PVA Report:
Go to Reports
PVA Report
Select a date range, month and year
Click Next at the bottom of the page to generate the report
Definitions:
- PVA=completed visits divided by number of new patients (many coaching groups teach this method to guesstimate what the Patient Visit Average might be, we included it because many understand this method)
- TPVA= completed visits divided by number of active patients (this is a more real representation of what Patient visit average is...real visits divided by active patients)
- CVA= completed visits divided by number of active cases (to get average number of visits per case)
- OVA= total collection divided by completed visits (to get average collection per visit)
Please Note: These numbers will only be as accurate as how you process the data. If you have completed the visits all the way to check out and posted all the EOB, patient payments; this report will show this information correctly.
Averages are only displayed to give an idea about where a clinic is with New Patients, Active Patients, number of visits within a case and collections per visit. If you have more than one clinic your numbers will include all clinics.
FAQ:
Does total payments (Average collection per visit) include only payments from a chiro visit? It includes payments from all types of appointments
Will total payments include supplements purchased during a visit? Yes
Why is showing my total as a decimal? It is because when the system divides the appropriate numbers, to get the totals, it may end up not being a whole number
