If you are an existing clinic that has generated HCFA's(Claims) before and need the Billing Folder Shortcut placed onto the Desktop, please follow these steps:
**NOTE: These steps will NOT work, if you have never previously Created HCFA's in the Software. If you are new to the Billing Process, please Click HERE**
Go to Billing>Search HCFAs:
Now, Adjust your Date range filter to include the last known hcfas that were created(My example has Year, 2021). Click the Box for "Have been created electronically". Hit Apply Filters:
At the bottom of your screen, you will see a hcfa that was previously created. Select one and hit E-Claim:
Now, you will see a File Manager screen pop up. You will see that HCFA's generate as Printimage files. Take the Yellow Folder next to This PC and drag onto the Desktop(You may need to minimize CoAction in order to see your desktop in the background and drag/drop easily):
Close the File Manager Screen.
Right click the Folder you just placed on the Desktop and select Rename. Rename to CoAction Billing, Press Enter to Save:
Open the CoAction Billing folder by double clicking. Hit New Folder and name it Submitted Claims:
Delete the claims already listed, so the area is empty. Leaving a clean slate for you to auto Save generated HCFA's into.
Now, you have the shortcut billing folder HCFA's will auto generate into, so you can upload to your Clearinghouse.
After uploading your HCFA's into your Clearinghouse's website, move the Printimage files into the Submitted claims folder.
This is a good way to keep this area organized, so you know which files have been uploaded to Clearinghouse and which have not yet.
