Change Case Status within a Patient's File

Select a specific Patient in your Rolodex:

Find your Case Status & Case List Box. This is located in the left hand column under Patient Photo. Here, you will see a Status dropdown(Defaults automatically to Active) and directly under, a Box that lists Cases that are currently Active.
Now, lets change the Status of the Cash Case from Active to Pending Settlement or Closed
Active = Actively seeking Care
Pending Settlement = Patient no longer seeking care within this case but, you are waiting on payment from an auto accident, attorney etc.
Closed = Balance for Patient & Payer are $0 and/or patient is no longer seeking care within this case

Select the Cash Case in the Case List Box, Select the Case Tab and Hit Edit(bottom right).

Now, find the Case Status and click the Dropdown that will show Active, Pending Settlement and Closed.

Choose your Selection and Select Save.

Now, you will see that that the Cash Case is gone from the list of Active Cases.

If you want to see ALL Cases(whether Active, Pending Settlement or Closed), please adjust the Case Status Box and Select ALL.

Now, you will see ALL Cases for this patient, whether Active, Pending Settlement or Closed.
